What's so special about this Hyundai i30N Performance? Its De-Chromed. True - but in September 2020, I came leafleted this i30N Performance, and we've followed each other on Instagram since.
Eleven months later, I met Tom at the Stone Classic Car Meet at George And Dragon Pub. Jonny still owned an i30N Performance at this time, so it was a treat seeing two Hyundai's at a classic car meetup.
Aston Martin DB6 Superlaggera
What feelings do you get from this Aston Martin DB6 Superleggera? Elegance. I like the way you're thinking - From the iconic grill to the timeless two-line profile, no wonder why this Aston Martin stood the test of time.
In April 2020, one of my Mum's neighbours asked me, "would you want to photograph my Volkswagen Camper Van, Aston Martin DB6, or DB11?" I Chose the DB6. I later featured my Jonny's Aston Martin pictures on my business card.
Chevrolet Corvette C3
Would you want to go to a car meet in this Chevrolet Corvette C3? Nah. Are you serious - Though not the fastest Corvette, this Chevy makes up for it with sound and personality.
In September 2020, I attended my last car meet at the George And Dragon Pub to photograph the classic cars. Towards the end of the night, I photographed Richard's Chevrolet Corvette against the cottage.
Audi R8 V10 Plus MK2
Rate the side profile of this Audi R8 V10 Plus out of 100. 90. I'd say that sounds fair - With its iconic yet sharper side profile, it seems that Audi improved the side profile of the R8.
Jonny, Enzo (Dalmatian), and I headed to Audi Stoke to photograph the cars outside the dealership on a humid July afternoon. The most significant challenge I faced was to find an angle of the Audi's without the light poles. Challenge accepted!
Volkswagen Polo
Do you love a great car wash? Yup. Same here - Though Jonny and I wash the Peugeot Partner ready for a photo shoot, it's fantastic for branding and helps maintain the car.
In April 2021, my Mum arranged a valeting session with Aura Premium Car Care and, Mum asked me, "do you want to photograph the session?" I said, "sure." It was fun seeing Marcus's methodical approach, from cleaning the interior to making the Polo's rims shine.
Conclusion
I think that Stoke-on-Trent gets overshadowed with its selection of cool cars. Compared to London and Cheshire. From photographing an iconic Aston Martin DB6 to coming across a C3 Corvette - Long live Stoke-on-Trent.
