Filming at Maserati Manchester
Last Saturday, My Dad and I went to Lamborghini Manchester to photograph and film the cars in the showroom.
Since the dealerships are quieter and cars more spaced out due to lockdown. It's a greater opportunity to record b-roll and photograph the vehicles in the showroom.
I used the Sony A9 with a 35mm f2.8l because the camera got better stabilisation and more capable of filming my subjects. I used the 35mm lens to accentuate the car's curves and fill my frame with the subject.
When editing the video, I compiled the footage into a sort bin on Premiere Pro. I limited my project to a one minute video. Thus, my timing, storyboarding and layout had to be balanced.
Though, the choice of music was drab to due copyright laws. I found a refreshing and serene soundtrack to go with the video.
Filming at Lamborghini Manchester
Connected to the Maserati showroom was the Lamborghini dealership. Yeah! Initially, I didn't think that I'd be able to film and photograph the supercars since they had a cover to unveil to the customers.
Paddy said hi and asked me, "do you want to photograph the cars"? I said, "yes, please. If it's possible?" Paddy replied with sure!"
Though" I mainly took side profile shots of the Lamborghini Aventador SV J because of its glorious Rosso Efesto paintwork and soul-stirring looks. I knew what to do next. Film the Aventador SV J and Huracan EVO in the dealer.
I started with an Aventador SVJ Roadster establishing shot, and I mainly focus on recording the details I like on the hypercar. Yes!
When I edited the video of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, I wanted a soundtrack that had attitude and class. However, it took me a few minutes to discover. I'm happy with the result.

Thank you, Ari and Paddy, for making these videos at Lamborghini and Maserati possible. Since February 2020, I wanted to get some exciting car videography.
Though car photography gives you lots of creativity, car videography gives you a more extensive toolbox to play.
