Do you want to know I filmed this Audi TTS at TRAX Silverstone 2021? Yes. Same here - Here's how I filmed this Audi TTS at TRAX Silverstone 2021.
When I was recording Chloe's Hot Pink Ford Fiesta ST at TRAX Silvertone. Matt came up to me from his Audi TTS and asked, "please can you film my TTS?" I replied with "sure".
Matt asked me, "when did you get your film equipment?" I replied, "I got my Edelkrone film equipment in September because I wanted to get consistent and quick video content of cars". Yeah!
The first scene Jonny and I planned for the TTS was an establishing front three-quarter shot of the Audi. During the framing, I noticed the pristine engine bay and delightful Williams-Martini bottle. Wow!
Next, I framed a front-upwards jib shot of the Audi TTS. I wanted to showcase the details of the TTS while giving the Audi a stoic stance.
After that, I wanted to get a detailed shot of the Auto Finesse to showcase the sponsor and give an extra creative flair to the video. I also did a panning shot from the hatch to the engine cover of the TTS.
Jonny asked me, "how does the 85mm lens work when I'm filming cars?" I replied with, "try. The video would look shakier. However, you'd get a more portrait touch to your subject".
I went off to photograph some of the cars which caught my eyes. Indeed! Jonny filmed the TTS's boot, side profile and rear three-quarter angle of the Audi.
Before I edited the Audi TTS video, I discussed with Jonny about the filming and lenses. Jonny said, "the biggest challenged I faced with the TTS was the strong winds".
I asked, "how did the 85mm lens work during the filming of the Audi TTS?" Jonny replied, "I got more bokeh from the footage, and it gave it a model-like touch".
During the first Premiere Pro filming session, I nearly finished the video of the TTS. However, Premiere Pro crashed when I applied stabilisation to the video.
I had a clear idea of what I wanted with the Audi TTS video in Premiere Pro. I was thrilled with Dad's 85mm footage of the TTS! The next roadblock I had with the Audi video was, I needed to stabilise the footage of the TTS correctly.
Jonny and I learnt a crazy amount from the TTS video shoot. From how to film with an 85mm lens to going from one frame to another frame quickly. It was a pleasure filming the Martini details on this Audi.
