Would I rather photograph a Volkswagen Up GTi or a Supercar?

Would I rather photograph a supercar over the Volkswagen Up GTi? Keep watching to find out if I'd prefer to photograph a Lambo over an Up GTi.

Would you choose the Lamborghini Aventador SV J or Volkswagen Up GTi?

To most people, comparing a Volkswagen Up GTi to a Lamborghini Aventador SV J is insane. It is! The Aventador SV J Is a hardcore hypercar, and the Up GTi is a nifty city car with spice.

Here's where it gets interesting I've seen two Volkswagen Polo GTi's to two Lamborghini Aventador SV J (In the Lamborghini dealership).

Before March Lockdown 2020, I visited my local Lamborghini and Maserati dealership to photograph the stock. The salespeople were polite and engaged with the customers.

Variety is the spice of life

Then in July 2020, I started to visit more events in car parks and tracks. I started to see a more vibrant variety of cars. From JDM imports, striking hot superminis to timeless cars.

Though, I come across a couple of supercars on the track car park. People tend to conglomerate around prestige cars because they're rare.

When photographing at car meets, my favourite highlights were the trio Vauxhall Corsa VXR photoshoot because I got to talk to the owners about their cars. And photographing an Imperial Blue Ford Focus RS at Oulton Park.

Imagine working at a Prestige supercar dealership

I can imagine if you'd work at a supercar dealership, you'd see many vivid vehicles park up, whether they're buying a new vehicle or having the car serviced.

You're still interested in the vehicles, but most customers have an exciting story about how they obtained the car, whether they're entrepreneurs, public figures, or sportspersons.

I reckon the sales experts enjoy a variety of vehicles. From the Ferrari 488 Pista, Ford Fiesta ST to the Morgan Plus Eight. Delightful!

If you asked me this question two years ago, I would say supercars. Up to that point, I've only seen a couple of high-performance cars to that point.

Over 2019 and early 2020, I had my fix of taking pictures of new supercars and hypercars in the dealerships.

Though I haven't got the opportunity to photograph at supercar showrooms in the last few months, I've started photographed more everyday performance cars.

Whether It's a pristine Toyota Chaser Tourer TRD, wild Vauxhall Corsa VXR, or an iconic Chevrolet Corvette Stingray - I've got more freedom to photograph vehicles.

You'll have a different perspective on photographing a Volkswagen Up GTi to a Lamborghini Aventador SV J, depending on age or mindset. Indeed!

I've got my supercar fix, so I'm not as tempted to photograph. However, I'm more thrilled to take pictures of everyday performance cars like the Citroen AX GTi, Toyota Mega Cruiser or Mercury Marauder.

When you see a mixture of many vehicles - your local car meet might open your mind to cars you didn't know you liked.
